However, what's even surprising is that Taylor Swift, who is considered no less than a Goddess, is also comparable to mere mortals, owing to her belief that the number "13" is lucky for her.
As is tradition, the singer's enthusiastic fans tried breaking down the mystery of this number, the use of which wasn't a one-time thing, before Taylor herself could explain anything.

The Blank Space singer has tried to incorporate the number in everything she does ever since the beginning of her career, and netizens find it as endearing as her love for her cats.
Swift Says 13 Is Her Lucky Number
Taylor's authenticity as a person is as unquestionable as her songwriting skills. So we know she wasn't joking when she explained the significance of the number 13 painted on her hand as she walked the streets of London in 2009, "I paint this on my hand before every show because 13 is my lucky number; for a lot of reasons."
Swift was born on the 13th of December in 1989, but the tale of her lucky number doesn't end there.
"I was born on the 13th. I turned 13 on Friday the 13th. My first album went gold in 13 weeks. My first #1 song had a 13-second intro," she had explained to MTV. "Every time I've won an award, I've been seated in either the 13th seat, the 13th row, the 13th section or row M, which is the 13th letter."
While some might argue that all these events are coincidences, Taylor begs to differ as she believes that the number 13 coming up at any point of her life is a good omen.

The Wildest Dreams singer doesn't let go of a single chance of bringing up the number that she considers her lucky charm akin to how she admits she will do "anything" to talk about her close friend, singer-songwriter Selena Gomez.
The incorporation of '13' is seen on her album 'Red' multiple times. The thirteenth track on the album "The Lucky One" has a 13-second intro, and the word "lucky" is said 13 times in the song, but that's not it.
The song "All Too Well (10 Minute Version)," which appeared on Taylor's recently re-recorded album 'Red' and went on to become the most extended number one song at the top of a Billboard chart, is actually 10 minutes and 13 seconds.

Swift also snuck 13 into her album 'Reputation' as 13 can be seen in big bubble numbers on the left-hand side of the frame at 0:20 in her reference-packed "Ready For It?" music video.
The singer posted a video on Instagram back in 2018 where she was seen getting ready to go on stage for her thirteenth show of the 'Reputation' world tour as her mother paints the number 13 on her hand. This tour became a Netflix concert film, proving that 13 indeed is lucky for Swift.
The Actual Key To Swift's Success
'13' might be lucky for Taylor, but that is not the key to her success; it's her immense hard work. This nature is visible in her strong bounce back after the phases where she lies low, similar to the lyrics "I come back stronger than a '90s trend" that she croons in her song Willow.
The Bad Blood singer has a whopping nine studio albums, which earned her 11 Grammy Awards and 56 Guinness World Records, among other awards and accolades, and she has achieved all these things based on her hard work only.
So naturally, if there is one thing that Taylor refuses to tolerate, it's someone discrediting her hard work, which justifies her slamming Damon Albarn, who commented on her songwriting abilities. It also explains her right to own the masters to her first six studio albums that were sold to Scooter Braun by the owner of Big Machine Records in 2019.
