People can be pretty cruel when it comes to differences in physical appearance, so it's no surprise that Klein has faced bullying because of his dwarfism. As a college student at New York University, Klein dealt with name-calling and threats. In his 2015 book, Life is Short (No Pun Intended), he wrote (via Radar Online): "I was called 'midget,' I was teased, I was ignored, I was threatened, I was chased, I was beaten up." As if that's not scary enough, Klein's memoir reveals that he even had to get police involved when students began throwing things at him. It's a heartbreaking account and a testament to what made him the strong person he is today.
