On December 17th, Tommy departed from this world, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories. Born in Northern Ireland in May 1939, Tommy embarked on a life journey that led him to Canada in 1963. In 1966, fate smiled upon him as he crossed paths with Meta, the love of his life.
Their union marked the beginning of a remarkable fifty-six-year love story, a testament to enduring commitment and unwavering devotion. Tommy, a proud retiree of Stelco, found joy in the simple pleasures of life, particularly in being an avid Toronto Maple Leafs fan. However, his greatest source of happiness was undoubtedly the time spent with his beloved family. A devoted dad to Isobel (Lawrence) and Dave (Tandra), Tommy’s role as a father was exemplary. His warmth and kindness extended further as he became an amazing Papa to Rob (Veronica), Jamie (Mackenzie), Beth, and Kealy.
Though Jordyn preceded him in death, the impact of his love on each family member remains immeasurable. In accordance with Tommy’s wishes, he has been cremated, and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date.
