On Friday, Nov. 30 and Saturday, Dec.1, the downtown area of Ridgefield will be flush with special shopping, events and food.

On Friday night, horse-and-carriage rides will be leaving from the Loundsbury House, and ice sculpting takes place outside The Toy Chest. A continuous showing of “It’s a Wonderful Life” starts at 6 p.m. at the Town Hall, and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will hold a book fair.

Events continue all day Saturday, and include photos with Santa at the Town Hall starting at 11 a.m.; residents are asked to bring their own camera. A Gingerbread Festival starts at noon at the Ridgefield Boys and Girls Club

The Holiday Boutique will be open at the Loundsbury House both days - on Friday from 3 p.m to 10 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
