Isn't odd for a character to leave mid-season? Not just any character, but THE main character? It made me wonder if he's going through some sort of health crisis and had to take an extended break. (He is 70, after all. Especially weird since they added his wife as a recurring character/potential love interest.

Did he ever finish his fucking boat? I got bored with that series and didn't stick around past season 2.

My parents love this and the other CBS procedurals. I think NCIS is the network's #1 series. (Not saying much these days.)

I stopped watching the show a while ago. I just read they've continued their tradition of tragically killing off female characters unnecessarily. Fornell's daughter ODs off screen and Jimmy Palmer's wife dies of Covid, also off screen, leaving him a widower with a toddler. Wouldn't it have made more sense to kill the elderly, heart diseased Ducky with Covid? (not to David McCallum's salary)

Haven't there been rumors that the reason those women get killed off is because they can't stand working with Mark?
