Women love Pete Davidson. Especially famous women. This much is clear. All the haters out there simply cannot deny the Saturday Night Live star's success rate in the dating scene. Some have accused Pete of using his famous girlfriends to elevate his own career, but these are mostly people who simply don't understand how the comedian became famous in the first place.
The truth is, Pete Davidson became famous because he earned it. His budding comedic genius was noticed by SNL creator Lorne Michaels at a young age and it's only thrived since then. But that's not to say all of Pete's humor has been received well. In some cases, he's angered fans. Particularly when he's said things about his current and ex-girlfriends. While many argue that comedians shouldn't worry about offensive or not, tabloids and some fans on Twitter thought Pete took things too far in these instances...
6 Pete's Joke About What Ariana Grande Did At SNL
Pete Davidson got in trouble in 2020 due to some comments he made about "handsy" gay men in his Netflix comedy special. He also got into trouble for targetting his ex-fiance, acclaimed singer and former Nickelodeon star Ariana Grande.
"I wasn’t going to do jokes about this," Pete said in his 2020 Netflix special, "but then my buddy told me, he’s like, 'Yo, I recently heard that Ariana said she had no idea who you were and she just dated you as a distraction.' So now I just think it’s like fair game."
Pete then went on to describe what happened when he started a controversy with a Republican politician named Dan Crenshaw on SNL. The controversy in which he had to publicly apologize for. "I did make that guy famous and a household name for no reason," Pete continued in his special. "I did what, like, Ariana Grande did for me. I s***ed his **** at SNL."
5 Pete Davidson's Racy Text To Kanye West
The Pete Davidson feud with Kanye West over him dating Kim Kardashian receives a ton of press. And when Pete texted a picture of himself shirtless in Kim's bed to Kanye, he caused a major stir. However, some fans, including a Reddit user named "ETeslaCoils", believe what Pete said to Kanye was extremely misogynistic.

"It’s weird [that people don't] mention how incredibly sexist what Pete Davidson said was," ETeslaCoils wrote in a popular thread on Reddit. "He didn’t say 'I’m in bed with Kim' or even 'I’m in bed with my girl' he went out of his way to say 'I’m in bed with YOUR WIFE' with the implication being 'I’m over here vandalizing your property' rather than I’m in a loving relationship with a person I respect that happens to be an ex of yours."
To be fair, writing "I'm in bed with a person I respect that happens to be an ex of yours" certainly wouldn't have had the same effect on Kanye as "I'm in bed with your wife".

I believe in us and all, but I just want to make sure that she can’t go anywhere."
