The title is just so low rent.

I really like her and almost everything she's done. I can't watch her anymore though. What she did to her face makes me sick.
| by Anonymous | reply 3 | August 29, 2023 9:43 PM |
Can she redirect her face to look human again
| by Anonymous | reply 4 | August 29, 2023 9:44 PM |
You mean the same Nora Ephron, who directed her in When Harry Met Sally, Sleepless in Seattle, and You've Got Mail... and then Meg went on to purposely burn down her "good girl" image / persona of, from those same films?
Interesting she's trying with this genre, that she should have stuck with in the first place.
| by Anonymous | reply 6 | August 29, 2023 9:48 PM |
Rob Reiner directed WHEN HARRY MET SALLY.
| by Anonymous | reply 7 | August 29, 2023 9:56 PM |
R7 yes, sorry about that. Nora wrote that one but did not direct.

Several years ago, when she was dating John Mellencamp, Meg Ryan directed an adaptation of THE HUMAN COMEDY called ITHACA.
It featured her son Jack Quaid, Sam Shepard, Hamish Linklater, and even Tom Hanks.
Mellencamp wrote the score.
It was pretty good, especially for a first effort.

Meg Ryan, movie star? I’ll be the judge of that.
| by Anonymous | reply 10 | August 29, 2023 10:11 PM |
Duchovny looks pretty rough. She still has the duck lips but looks better than when the cosmetic surgery was new.

I’m ready for my closeup, Cecil B. Demented
| by Anonymous | reply 12 | August 29, 2023 10:18 PM |
R9 Can't believe she had the nerve to cast herself as a rural WWII housewife in that film, with that unnatural face and totally non-1940s hair of hers:

David Duchovny is now 63 and starting to look like an old man.
I still want him.
| by Anonymous | reply 14 | August 29, 2023 10:36 PM |
Vaseline please, because I’m ready for my close-up.
| by Anonymous | reply 15 | August 29, 2023 10:45 PM |
A lot of girls will go to this. They are still fainting out of love for Mulder. I mean Duchovny.
I wonder if Gillian is jealous? Good part for him.

| by Anonymous | reply 19 | August 29, 2023 11:55 PM |
Looking at David Duchovny makes me feel old.

| by Anonymous | reply 26 | August 30, 2023 2:05 AM |
She needs to do a movie in which a woman cheats on her husband and then her life falls apart. A story with a good moral lesson.
| by Anonymous | reply 27 | August 30, 2023 2:08 AM |
She should direct a May/December rom com starring her and Chet Haze: "You've Got Alpha Male."
| by Anonymous | reply 28 | August 30, 2023 2:15 AM |
She needs to star in a movie where her husband is constantly cheating on her but she gets all the public blame.
| by Anonymous | reply 29 | August 30, 2023 3:18 AM |
Duchovny has crossed the line from "aging gracefully" to looking like shit.
He needs to go to whoever's done John Stamos and Joel McHale's subtle facelifts and eye work.
Take no recommendations from previous co-stars Meg and Ryan Phillippe!
| by Anonymous | reply 30 | August 30, 2023 3:23 AM |
The plot is straight out of a Hallmark movie. That said, good for her for creating her own opportunities.
| by Anonymous | reply 32 | August 30, 2023 3:52 AM |
Are people willing to forgive her yet for her cheating on her husband? It seems too soon still.
| by Anonymous | reply 33 | August 30, 2023 4:27 AM |
Great. And with her Frankenstein face-job I presume... can't wait.
| by Anonymous | reply 34 | August 30, 2023 4:30 AM |
She looks like she's had some corrective surgery, her face doesn't look as freakish as before.
| by Anonymous | reply 35 | August 30, 2023 4:34 AM |
She ruined so many alternative movies by appearing in them when she tried to burn her image as the go-to rom com chick. She always has a scene where her mouth drops open, her eyes widen and she looks *amazed*.
Have hated her ever since I first saw her when I was a kid, when she appeared on Charles in Charge (a puke-worthy show in itself, but she was excruciating)
| by Anonymous | reply 36 | August 30, 2023 5:43 AM |
I don't think anyone asked for this but good luck with the project.
| by Anonymous | reply 37 | August 30, 2023 5:51 AM |
Her face is such a distraction now, how could anyone stare at a screen with it looking back at them for almost two hours?
| by Anonymous | reply 38 | August 30, 2023 6:09 AM |
I've always thought it odd that throughout her twenties and much of her thirties, Meg rocked a pixie cut that looked great on her. At an age when many women who've always worn their hair long get it chopped, she grew hers out. It didn't look good then, and it looks even worse with each passing year.
| by Anonymous | reply 39 | August 30, 2023 11:41 AM |
I think she looks ok. Even her lips are less plump. David D is still handsome. Won’t be watching.
| by Anonymous | reply 40 | August 30, 2023 12:01 PM |
R13, nobody had hair like that in that era, especially not with overstuffed cheeks and a Joker mouth.
| by Anonymous | reply 41 | August 30, 2023 12:13 PM |

It wasn’t her ex-husband who ended her career; it was society that dropped her for being a hussy and a cheater.

I hope "What Happens Later" features Russell Crowe in a hilarious cameo.
| by Anonymous | reply 48 | August 30, 2023 6:32 PM |
I’ll take it. Most movies are now dreadful. This could not possibly be any worse.
| by Anonymous | reply 49 | August 30, 2023 6:34 PM |

| by Anonymous | reply 50 | August 30, 2023 6:36 PM |
This looks bad. I smell a major flop. If that dingbat put her own cash into this she's going to be standing in the food lines soon.
| by Anonymous | reply 51 | August 30, 2023 9:05 PM |
The location/setting, sets, and cinematography are horrible. It looks like a romantic comedy by David Fincher. Horrendous.
| by Anonymous | reply 52 | August 31, 2023 4:33 AM |
Oh and her fucking PS, Botox and fillers are ridiculous, but it’s true to real life since every pampered cunt has a cryogenically frozen face now.
| by Anonymous | reply 53 | August 31, 2023 4:44 AM |
She was such a pretty ass woman when she was young with those beautiful round eyes. We all gotta age. Don’t play god. I rather wrinkles than uncanny because at some you still gon get the wrinkles anyways while still looking uncanny.
| by Anonymous | reply 54 | August 31, 2023 5:45 AM |
I am the biggest sucker ever for 90s RomComs. It's my one super gay trait.
So I will most likely watch this. But it looks really, really bad.
David looks great, however. He's so my type.
| by Anonymous | reply 55 | August 31, 2023 6:21 AM |
People will just watch it for Duchovny. Nobody is interested in her.
She pissed away years trying to be taken seriously when she should have been cashing in on her cutesy image.
| by Anonymous | reply 56 | August 31, 2023 10:26 AM |
I have always been a fan of Meg, but she looks like she survived a slashing attack by a maniac with a straight razor. Her facial features have been utterly hacked to bits. I understand that actors feel pressure to look good, but that level of cosmetic surgery limits her to playing sad Beverly Hills widows—she doesn't look believable as anything else.

What song is repeated endlessly in this one?
| by Anonymous | reply 59 | August 31, 2023 9:44 PM |
It's hilarious the way she tries to deflect from her terrible facial procedures by implying that it's shallow to talk about someone's looks.
Pot. Kettle. Black.

The 2008 remake of The Women that Meg starred in (written and directed by Diane English) was one of the worst piece of shit movies I've ever seen in my life.

Both she and Duchovny look terrible in that trailer at R42.
I couldn't sit and watch that for 90 minutes or more.
Who financed this?
| by Anonymous | reply 63 | September 1, 2023 10:16 AM |

This seemed to blow by in theaters, which is bad given that it could have been ripe for seasonal viewing (airport setting, snowstorm). It seems few people noticed or cared. Nobody has even bothered to write a full plot synopsis on Wikipedia.

It’ll be on streaming. It cost neither nothing to make.

Poor Meg Ryan. What a fiasco
| by Anonymous | reply 69 | November 24, 2023 10:09 AM |

| by Anonymous | reply 70 | November 24, 2023 10:21 AM |
R63 Duchavony looks fine to me but God help Ryan. You can tell she knows she's messed up her face by her chosen hairstyle. She's literally hiding behind her hair throughout the film. And what the fuck is she wearing? Someone needs to tell her the 90s are over and people aren't into oversized clothes anymore. Plus, those boots are crime against humanity.
| by Anonymous | reply 71 | November 24, 2023 10:34 AM |
Love you, r70.
Unfortunately for her, Meg Ryan isn't going to change the way people think about older women in movies. Her hideous face and personality see to that.
Fortunately for us, she will probably give up after this, though she was mighty persistent back in the day when she thought she'd go the serious route and probably grab an Oscar or two like Hanks did. Then she burnt it all down by lying about her involvement with Crowe. When will celebrities learn to not call journalists liars for reporting the truth?
R9, I haven't seen the film you mention, but having seen a pic of her *in character*: What the actual fuck?
| by Anonymous | reply 72 | November 24, 2023 10:40 AM |
I saw the film. It’s cute. It’s based on a French film. It cost peanuts to make. I’m sure she’ll continue. I think television would be a good direction to go in although everyone these days wants a show. I could see her doing one.
| by Anonymous | reply 73 | November 24, 2023 11:50 AM |
