OP what's the meaning of woke? The movie is not preachy and has no political undertones. Are you saying that casting actors who aren't white is what woke means?

R5, according to cons “woke” seems to mean any movie with brown people in it. Nowhere is WSS preachy about anything but they happily labeled it woke because it failed

Woke is anything that is not straight white men. Straight white women can be there but they need to be secondary to the man. The Marvel fan boys were distraught. After the last Spiderman movie they had to deal with Wandavision which focused on a woman, the Falcon and the Winter Soldier which focused on the treatment of black soldiers in WWII and ended with a black Captain America, then Loki which made him bisexual and had equal focus on a woman, then Black Widow, woman, Shang Chi, asian, Eternals, everything. New Spiderman showed them men are still relevant.
