Watched the show this past season and thought it was okay. The wife was a bit off. She was kind of whiny and very jealous of her engaged daughter. That make me ill at ease. I don't know if I'll watch next season but I dislike that they are bringing Remini on. It will be King of Queens all over again. Not sure I'm interested in that. He's not always the easiest person to watch anyway and now having Remini with him again. Ugh

To answer a question from upthread, Remini played his former partner in the final two episodes of the season. He was brought back on the force temporarily to work an undercover job with her that they'd started before he retired.

That character was forgettable

King of Queens had run its course, so am not sure this is a good idea, but it actually had some good episodes and Leah was a good foil for James during the original show.

I have seen a handful of episodes of this show and it is not really funny at all. KJ is just Doug Heffernan with a different name and job.

Well, what worked before can work again. Their reunion in the two part season finale was better than the whole season with the new wife. The producers noticed it. I was thinking when I saw the first few episodes they should have brought them both back together on new show without kids.

She didn't buy anything. Her family lives in LA and every three weeks she flew back for a week. She was "Hollywood Live" few months ago and said they MAY move east if the show takes off but she has young kids in school and probably wait. The show is the first to shoot directly on Long Island where Kevin is from, he moved home. No world if Leah is getting out of LA for NY , she's from Brooklyn or do the commute.
