Kerry Cook Obituary, Death Cause – This is my husband, Kerry Cook, also known as Cookie I was given his heartbeat in a bottle by the ICU before to his death this morning. It fits wonderfully around his wedding band. From my room where I had been staying, I could see his ICU room window, which is represented by the heart above. After Dad died away, I observed them from my window as they took care of him. Just as I had watched from there the previous two nights, unable to sleep since I didn’t know how long he would be with me. It seemed ironic because my room overlooked his. Kerry suffered a heart attack on Tuesday after I briefly left his room.
25 minutes with no pulse! I entered his room, and two minutes later, his pulse returned. They were genuinely shocked by it. I’m not sure if that was a good or terrible thing. But it did occur. Up to the very end, nothing with you was ever simple. However, you always made people laugh, and I know that you would stop at nothing to help someone. I laughed all the time. The hospital has a “fan club” for you. You were very loved, and I hope you know that, since those that came to say goodbye were also the ones who would stop to say hello when they didn’t have to.
Without you, I’m not sure what I’ll do. Actually, I don’t. There’s undoubtedly a big void in my heart caused by you. I’m assuming you and Jim are already working on automobiles. I already miss you, and you missed him. I want to thank everyone of the staff at UPMC Williamsport hospital. They are superior. Carlo, Brittany Eisenhower, Tasha, Morgan, Kat, Patrick, Sandra, and Crissie are the notable ones that I am aware of. There are more, but I wanted to at least bring them up. I’m grateful. Time to start the three-hour walk home. I’m able to comprehend everything as I go. I think I’m just in shock right now.
