I think I know what happened to her.

A few years back I was having a bad bout of insomnia. I came upon Jean Spangler's name and got very curious about what happened to her. So after 18 hours of research here is my theory.

First you have to accept that in everyday life people seldom lie unless they have a really good reason.

You need to know in Jeans original divorce decree her husband got full custody of the daughter. He had evidence that Jean was in the parlance of the time a "good time girl". Meaning she wasn't walking the streets but she was booking dates that left a 20 on her dresser in the morning.

Jean had a mobster friend convince a judge to return custody to her.

Jean's ex husband second wife also had a connection with mobsters. My opinion I think he was involved with the mob in some way himself.

On the day she disappeared she told her sister she was going to see her ex to ask him for money. I think that is the absolute truth.

Her purse was found a couple days later, It still had her lucky coin in it.

I think she was on the way to see her husband and he had mobsters disappear her.

He of course got custody of the daughter. He and his second wife moved away soon after. He went on to join the military and live a normal life. He retired well decorated and well respected.

The daughter changed her name. I know where she lives and even her phone number. I have seen pictures of her at different ages and she looks a bit like Jean but a bit plainer.

I found all of that by googleing.

I don't know anyone in real life that is interested in mysteries so I thought I would share here. I would like to hear other theories if you have them.

r2 I think she was pulling a scam on Kirk. From what I read it seems her whole family were sort of low class, It would have been an open discussion at home. I think if she had been going somewhere to meet up with kirk her family would have known.

The fact she and her ex were mob connected really makes me think shes in a mop grave yard somewhere.
