YouTuber and former Vine star David Dobrik has amassed a huge following, boasting 18 million subscribers and six billion views. His YouTube channel revolved around a mix of comedy vlog collaborations with his Vlog Squad members. Those celebrities included Nickelodeon star Josh Peck, fellow former Vine stars Jason Nash and Jeff Wittek, and many more. Dobrik had a decent reputation for being one of the most popular vloggers on YouTube, but that went sour in 2021.

While not directly involved with the incident himself, Dobrik was accused of sexual assault by former member Seth Francois for being tricked into kissing Jason Nash. A month later, an anonymous, but brave woman came forward to Business Insider explaining that she was assaulted by then-member Dom Zeglaitis, or Durte Dom. Due to allegation after allegation, Dobrik's net worth suffered. Here's what you need to know.
8 His Net Worth Before
In 2020, despite the pandemic being a worldwide issue, Dobrik saw a rise in his net worth. He earned around $16 million for his massive sponsorships including EA, SeatGeek, and Bumble. Dobrik even owned an apparel line that also helped increased his net worth.
This would total his yearly income to $20 million, making him one of the highest paid YouTubers ever. He bought a nearly $10 million house in August and was even featured as an honoree for Forbes 30 Under 30 list. Unfortunately for him, what happened this year would damage his net worth.
7 His Net Worth After
Right now, Dobrik's net worth is at $15 million, taking a a quarter loss of his income due to sponsorships breaking their ties with the YouTuber. Even if he is back on YouTube, doing videos every Tuesday, we can't expect his net worth to be as high as it was before the allegations came to light. He still has support from his followers, and they are surely willing to buy merch from him, but that also wouldn't salvage his net worth.
His sloppily timed YouTube video trying to apologize especially didn't help, as it would create a spiral of his income decreasing. It might even continue to go down by the end of this year.

6 Sponsors Dropped Him Like Flies
There were many sponsorships that ended their professional relationship with Dobrik. The two mentioned earlier, EA and Bumble, dropped Dobrik. Many others followed suit, including HelloFresh, DoorDash, Spark Capital, and Audible, to name a few. This will heavily affect Dobrik's income and connections to encouraging his viewers to try out the sponsorships he would place in his YouTube videos.
Dobrik will have to prove to future sponsors that he has changed for the better and will handle any accusations against him better.
5 Removed Videos Worth Millions Of Views
Due to the immense backlash he received for not speaking sooner regarding the allegations from Business Insider's article, Dobrik reacted rather cowardly in what he would say in regards to the events that occurred. One of the things he did was removing his YouTube videos totaling up to 66 million views, which took a hit for his income.
YouTubers have a habit of doing this when accusations come up against them, whether that is to remove them due to a specific person or to hide videos that have them lying about certain situations.
4 Temporarily Demonetized
YouTube can be hit or miss when it comes to treating its content creators, but when something needs to be done, it gets done when it's addressed. Similar to when Logan Paul got demonetized when he messed up badly during his trip to Japan, Dobrik got the same treatment due to the sexual assault allegations.
His second channel and his podcast channel featuring Nash also got the boot. During that time, he took a three-month hiatus, but it wouldn't be long until his videos were able to run ads to make extra income.

3 Lost Some Subscribers
With any controversy surrounding a YouTuber, they are bound to lose subscribers due to how betrayed they felt and disgusted by the actions that took place. Whereas James Charles lost almost three million subscribers from the Tati Westbrook's video about him, Dobrik took a small hit compared to him.
Four-hundred-thousand subscribers dropped him his channel, and even though it doesn't sound like a lot compared to other YouTubers, it still was impactful from the controversies he was tied to. It meant less people would buy his merchandise and take part in signing up from sponsorships.
2 Stepped Down From Dispo
What else could lead to Dobrik losing out on more money? The answer to that is stepping down from his founded company for the social media app Dispo. After being relaunched on March, his app got bomb reviewed when Francois came out with his sexual assault allegations. This was Dobrik's choice so that his company is not burdened with its developmental growth.
It was very noble of him to do so, even if he wouldn't be benefiting from his co-founded company anymore. It is even possible his company might suffer from this financially due to the sponsor Spark Capital cutting ties.
1 Could Be Facing Charges
The accuser so far has not pressed charges or reported to the police on Dobrik and those involved from the sexual assault, but with the evidence she has backing up her claims, it is possible that day could come. That would damage Dobrik's net worth greatly with having to hire attorneys and other legal necessities. Even if the charges would mostly be on Durte Dom, Dobrik would still have responsibility due to their situation involving the Vlog Squad.
To think that Dobrik jokingly said that he and his fellow members in the car with him are going to jail could be reality. Again, Durte Dom would be the one most likely heading to prison, but that's where the future will have the answers.
