Now, a new report claims Heather is set on making a career comeback, and she’s hoping some of her former co-stars will give her a boost. She’s allegedly contacted some of the old Melrose Place cast to push for a reboot.

“Heather turned what was once a stellar career into a soap opera sideshow,” a source claimed to The National Enquirer. “She jumped at this opportunity and put pressure on the rest of the cast to join her to ensure the show would be brought back.”
Apparently, Heather has had some interest from former co-stars already, with Daphne Zuniga and Laura Leighton expressing interest in jumping back into their roles. Apparently, not only are her ex-co-stars interested in how a reboot may positively influence their careers, but they also want to help Locklear after her struggles over the years.
“It was a win-win for the other cast members because they could capitalize on nostalgia for the show while also helping out their troubled friend to get back on track” the source went on.
“Folks were concerned about Heather,” they continued. “She’s been in rehab 20 times over the years.”
How Heather’s Legal Troubles And Addictions Derailed Her Career
Locklear has faced several legal issues and arrests over the years, spanning various charges and accusations. In 2008, she was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) in Santa Barbara, California. Then, in 2011, she faced a hit-and-run charge after allegedly crashing her car into a "no parking" sign.
Heather was also arrested in 2018 for allegedly assaulting a police officer and an EMT responding to a domestic disturbance call at her residence. She allegedly became combative after police and medics came to her home following a call she placed claiming her boyfriend, Chris Heisser, had assaulted her.

Moreover, Locklear has reportedly struggled with substance abuse issues over the years. She entered rehab in 2008 for anxiety and depression, following her DUI arrest. In 2010, she returned to rehab for treatment related to anxiety and prescription medication use.
More recently, just last year, photos of the actress outside of a Malibu mental health facility went viral for the disheveled condition she looked in. Heather also appeared to be talking to herself as paparazzi looked on.
However, the recent source says Heather is doing much better and in a place where she can focus on her career, hence why she’s apparently pushing for the Melrose Place reboot.
"She's happy and feeling more like herself and committed to staying on the right track with the help of therapy,” they continued. "Heather recognizes she gave people a startle a couple of months back, but she wants everyone to know she's doing well.”
