I played Amazing yesterday. What a great song that is.What a declaration of gay male love. Unfortunately, he screws it up with his drug use and his cruising.

Unfortunately R7, i found out that a lot of gay men resent him and i don't know why. Really, what he did to them?

He wails, oh how he wails like he is giving birth, and the styled eyebrows have a life of their own.

Overrated, his music is too 80s and has not aged well at all. Plus he has a very femme singing voice.

He had to cancel a few shows at the end of his re-started tour and said he hadn't really addressed his issues and he was silent on Twitter for about 2 months, but he said his bf said people were worried about his so he sent Tweets around Xmas that he's doing well and looking forward to new music in 2013.

He always talks about how he's going to release new music, but never does. All he's put out was some boring song called White Light last year that flopped.

He is so ridiculously talented. His lyrics are deep and beautiful. He has a nice voice. He has so much talent to share still, and seems like such a tortured soul.

I'm amazed how the voice has seemingly been preserved despite his daily pot habit, amongst other habits.

Poor chart performance isn't a George Michael problem. Not many over 40 year olds break the top 40 singles pop charts. The drivers of music are younger and they go for young artists usually.

George's writing abilities are still good. I think what has been lacking is a capable producer to add exciting music to enhance the lyrics.

I don't know why, but I've always thought that he'd make a good dad and should've had a few kids since he seems so nice and easy going. I've always felt that all the crap he's been doing the last decade with these trashy boyfriends, drugs, and cruising parks is a way to fill up some emptiness inside him and that a having a family of his own might have filled that void and brought him some real happiness.

R34 Where George was different in that he fancied himself as an artiste at some point. He wanted to be taken seriously for his art not his appearance etc so on. at one point he wasn't evening appearing in his videos at some point.He kept on the same musical whoring at some point, drugging and cruising so he deserved at least some of the derision he received.

never was a George Micheals fan but I wish him all the best. it's hard enough to be well known and a perfect saint, but hell, any misstep is magnified out of proportion, and often. I'm sure knowing he's gay helped plenty of queer kids get through rough patches.

A supposed straight friend of mine(male of course) said "you mean the gorgeous one?", when I mentioned George Michael. That made me think that he wasn't so straight anymore!

OK, I love George Michael's music, but in no way did I find him inspirational in terms of accepting I was gay. I was in high school when he got caught cruising that Beverly Hills park and was on drugs, so I didn't exactly look to him for a positive gay role model.

R36, having lived in London the last 16 years, I have to say I think a lot of that pressure was brought on by the British tabloids, who had a field day during Wham! (from their start) and carried on with George into his solo career. This was the '80s, pre-internet, and I think that really coloured his perspective on how he was being received, I think that's what he was really responding too and I think that's why it seemed so OTT in the States, as less of a response to something relevant and tangible, and more the actions of some self-involved diva.

I also think as much as George loved his mother - unquestionably - the dynamic between them must've left him with some emotional problems, certainly a lack of self worth. And all those years in the closet, once again, must've been a bit soul destroying.

I don't think anyone admired how he came out of the closet but I think a lot of people admired how he handled it after and emerged as his true self, sense of humor present and intact, and not afraid to be critical or have a point of view.

Actually Fadi Fawaz seems bi to me. I don't think he is gay. What do you think guys?

George i hope you release soon a new album. You have been so talented, we want you back. Do your best. If you could use some jazzy tunes in somes of your new songs like you did with 'Older' for example, it would be sensational!

R56 you got it wrong! I didn't mean that. There are a lot of gays who are extemely hot and ridiculously beautiful. Rock Hudson, Ricky Martin, Thom Bierdz, and many many others and you know that! It just passed my mind that Fadi seems bi and that doesn't mean he is more or less sexy than other men. It just happens to be hot.

Are they under George's bed? In George and Ken's relationship George was the dominant one on down the line. I don't think GM was bottoming for his Brazilian lover who died of Aids either.

I doubt Fadi's a golddigger. He's a sought-after stylist with a solid career that predates his relationship with George. He's been Katherine Jenkins's personal stylist for years.

Fadi does hair for people like Emily Blunt I get that. However he's not a gazillionaire like George Michael is. Not even close. That's like saying that David Furnish is just as successful monetarily as Elton John is!

A friend had sent me a video from one of his last concerts. He's looking a lot better, he must have read DL when 15 people in one thread said he needed to let his hair grow out. He also looks to be in better shape than before.

Let's have it, r64/r65. We've had good George Michael gossip around here. When he was ill in the hospital and the press was told that he was improving, someone showed up here saying they knew he was in kidney failure and near death. Turned out to be true.

I think he's beautiful---and very human like all of us....definitely no flash in the pan...people will be talking about him for years. As for his HIV status, it's not really anyone's business. Just close your eyes, look beyond his humanity, and enjoy his inspired and beautiful voice. I love him....an extremely sensitive and talented man....and as for his love interests, not everyone is interested in money--there are some gay men who believe in real love. God Bless Him

I say that as someone who adores George Michael and wishes him well in all things.
