Long informative screed from "John Butler" ohn Butler (Posted 6/6/1998 11:05:00 PM) Dear Guys (AtlantaGuy, tboy, LoveMuscleToo, and any other inerested parties): I’m glad to share certain things about Steve Fox with you, but only up to a point, I fear. After watching the first movie I saw him in (Compulsion), I was blown away with his looks, his body, his demeanor. The next one I saw (Buttbusters) confirmed my first impression—this was the most perfectly beautiful human being I had ever seen, whether in person or in some film medium. In March of 1993 my partner died, after we had been ‘married’ happily for exactly twenty-four years. I was bereft, of course, and felt that my sexual life was over (I was 62 years old), even though Mike had expressed a desire that I find someone else after he died. Exactly two and a half years later, in September of 1995, I answered a solicitation to join a "Steve Fox Fan Club", hoping to perhaps get an autograph, maybe talk to him—who knows? Soon I drove to Atlanta (about two hours away) and met with Steve Fox in a hotel room for the kind of meeting I thought never to have again, with the man I thought the most beautiful in the world! Our first meeting was exciting for me—something of a dream come true—but it was also perfunctory and somewhat disappointing. What amazed me about Steve Fox was how intelligent he was, how sweet he was, and how very much I LIKED him; I wasn’t prepared for that! Within two weeks I met him at his house, he was Rommel Hunt (and was always that to me after that, never "Steve Fox"), and we didn’t have sex, we MADE LOVE, and spent four or five hours doing it. For the next six months, I made love with Rommel at least once a week (and sometimes twice), he stopped (as far as I know) escorting, and we planned a life together (admittedly I was much older—only a few months younger than his dad—but he said that was no problem for him). To interrupt for a moment: After our first meeting, I was in love with Rommel Hunt, and "Steve Fox" didn’t enter the picture again. This thread is in the "Porn Stars" category, and I’m glad to answer questions about "Steve Fox," and some of the impersonal mechanics of his life, his personality, and his death I see no reason to withhold. But I loved Rommel Hunt (as I still love him in memory), and I hope you will understand when I say that my personal relationship with Rommel is just that—personal. I wrote a fairly lengthy book, entitled "Fellations, Penetrations and Impalements," which is a sexual autobiography—begun as a means of trying to sort out the tragedy of my partner’s death, and the apparent collapse of my new-found love with Rommel. I decided, as I wrote, that I needed to go back to the beginning of my sexual life, and by the time I was a week or so into the writing, it had become something of a celebration of gay sex. It turned out to be an exhaustive sexual history, completely frank and detailed, and even upbeat. I don’t know if I’ll find a publisher for it—it is EXTREMELY frank, sexually, and there are few publishers (no mainstream ones) that would consider it. Still, maybe some day—and if it ever does appear, you can read every detail of my experiences with Rommel there, since (needless to say) the names Rommel Hunt and Steve Fox do not appear in the book (but any savvy porn fan with a double-digit-or-better I.Q. can figure out who he is). If any of you guys know any appropriate publishers . . . well, you get the idea!
