Would you do it like she does in this CNN promo? You know, walking aimlessly in the streets while lapping up ice cream? 🍨

Yes, a bit of aimless wandering in a lovely place with ice cream honestly sounds divine.

I'm not a fan of hers (actually, just don't care) but I've seen the show and it's really good. It's produced by Stanley Tucci and the same team of his "Searching for Italy" series.

I want to take a 6 month sabbatical and do a food tour if Mexico now.

Random observations:

-It could have also been named "Searching for Tacos" -Eva says "THAT'S AMAZING!" way too much -Eva is Mexican-American, did you know that? Of course you did, because she mentions it in each episode about 3 times.

Has she considered using Google Maps to find Mexico? It's the country south of the Unitrd States.

She can't find it because of the toxic, suffocating cloud of pollution.

I thought the smog had been cleaned up, that's terrible R4

My Dad oddly loves this show. He wants to go to Mexico now, which is something I never thought he say.

I watched a part of this Sunday. It left me searching for a different channel.

I didn't like it. I know Tucci was behind this production, but the charm, personal connection & interest he had in Italy just didn't translate to Longoria. She wasn't bad, but she did say (with WIDE EYES) "that's incredible/amazing/delicious" after everything she ate, as if she had no other words in her vocabulary. And she looked ridiculous with her fake eyelashes & white dresses in these rural areas and when she ate, it reminded me of that line from "The Stepford Wives" (the new version): "is there a vat of cobbler vomit somewhere?" because this does not look like a woman that eats tacos. She grew up in TX & aside from being hispanic, seemed to have no real connection to Mexico, making me think it was like an irish person growing up in Boston might think they "know" Ireland, or have a connection, when in fact it's a completely different culture that they don't get.

I like these kinds of shows & hope they continue. Maybe next do something like Alexander Skarsgard in Sweden. But Longorio wasn't a good choice for this show, not only for the reasons listed above but when she speaks she has a shrill braying voice.
