Eric Andre was in tears again and gasping for his breath in his latest appearance on First We Feast's interview show Hot Ones. Hot Ones is famous for interviewing celebrity guests while they try chicken wings that are marinated with increasingly hot sauces.

On the show, Andre talked about his latest stand-up special on Netflix, Legalize Everything, and his comedy show, The Eric Andre Show. Of course, even while eating progressively spicier wings, Andre was his usual shocking and anarchic comedic self.

From the very beginning of the interview, Andre was already complaining about the spiciness of the wings - not a good omen for his next twenty or so minutes. It was a good thing that interviewer Sean Evans asked him about his Netflix special, Legalize Everything early on.

Legalize Everything has earned great reviews because it has managed to capture the aura of the current times, between the political unrest and the ever-looming thread of Covid-19. Evans asked Andre whether having a taped special during these times felt like having superpowers. Andre said yes, and that he totally lucked out because he, like all of us could not have predicted any of the events of 2020.

Andre also talked about the music of Legalize Everything. He talked about including the music of Big Freedia, because he shot his special in New Orleans and wanted a New Orleans artist. He said he picked Big Freedia because the music is powerful, bombastic, and cinematic.

As Andre kept sweating and drinking countless glasses of milk, host Sean Evans continued asking Andre about the Eric Andre Show, his love of hip-hop, and his inspiration for his brand of prank comedy.

Towards the end of the interview, Evans tested Andre to see if he really meant what he said in his stand up special about legalizing everything: On Hot One's brand-new segment called 'Legalize It,' he asked Andre about regional laws and whether or not the things they outlaw should be legalized. At this point in the interview, Andre was in a state delirium because of the power of the hot sauce he had consumed.

Evans ultimately had to end the interview a bit early, because Andre was in a state of hurt, but he finished by congratulating him on the success of Legalize Everything. This episode of Hot Ones is certainly worth a watch, not only because we get to see Eric Andre bow down to the power of hot sauce (a rare sight on this show), but also because he is highly entertaining even when dealing with spicy wings.
