Murphy has apologised for his past homophobic stage work. He seemed sincere, but whether that's enough, considering the severe damage he caused, is highly debatable. A certain subset of straight men have a fetish for chicks with dicks. Not many gay men at all have the same tastes.

Murphy made homophobic jokes in the 1980s. Which was the cultural norm. His jokes did not cause “severe damage.” That longstanding cultural norm did cause severe damage, but not the jokes of one comedian.

Instead, she fell five floors and suffered severe head trauma, resulting in her death, which was classified as accidental. The coroner's report stated someone heard a scream at 5 o'clock in the morning, which is believed to indicate the time of Seiuli's death.
