Daniel Gilbert Obituary, Death Cause – Daniel V. Gilbert, 49, abruptly departed us on Friday, December 1, 2023, at MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham, Massachusetts. Natick, Massachusetts, mourns his premature loss. Daniel was the son of the late Elizabeth (Shields) Gilbert and Jon S. Gilbert of Plymouth, Massachusetts, and was born in Natick. Daniel spent more than 20 years of his life working as a dispatcher for Tommy’s Taxi and Natick Cab, giving back to the community.
Distinguished by his steadfast dedication and amiable disposition, he was instrumental in guaranteeing the seamless functioning of transportation amenities within the locality. Outside of his career, Daniel had a variety of hobbies. He was a passionate golfer and had many special times watching football games with his brother Chris. His life’s soundtrack was his love of country rock music, and he got thrills from pushing the envelope on the Foxwoods Casino slots.
Daniel leaves a loving and enduring legacy. His brothers Shawn S. Gilbert and Christopher E. Gilbert, together with his wife Kristin, and stepmother Maureen (McElhenny) Gilbert, survive him. His father, Jon S. Gilbert, also survives. In addition, he is remembered by many cousins and friends, as well as step-sisters Kimberly D. Karass and Lisa M. Gilbert.
